The Hong Kong Polytechnic University - Peking University Research Centre on Chinese Linguistics is proud to organize the 6th International Workshop on Theoretical East Asian Linguistics (TEAL-6) at Peking University, Beijing, China on August 15-16, 2010.

The TEAL Workshop was first launched in 1990 at the University of California, Irvine as a mid-size workshop intended to foster research on East Asian linguistics. It has been an important forum for presenting new theories and exchanging novel ideas that bear on East Asian languages with theoretical interests. Since 2002, the TEAL Workshop has been an international event. It was held at Doshisha University, Japan in 2002,  National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan in 2004, at Harvard University, USA in 2005, at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong in 2007, and at Potsdam University, Germany in 2008.

The TEAL-6 Workshop will be held at Peking University in conjunction with the 8th GLOW in Asia, as well as the Symposium Commemorating the 90th Anniversary of the Birth of Prof. Zhu Dexi and the 50th Anniversary of Prof. Lu Jianming’s Teaching (“Zhu-Lu Symposium”).
